Glassware designer Tapio Wirkkala was a man of many moods and inspirations. His Ultima Thule line of cocktail and drinking glasses helped launched Iittala in the 1960s, yet remain contemporary. Each piece of this patented glass-blowing process mimics the natural formation of water and ice. Transferring shapes from Nordic nature into glowing glass once demanded thousands of hours in the glass-blowing workshop.
The full line of glasses is matched by a set of bowls and pitcher. |
